Well, I have been working with IELTS for a while and what is given in the course is a tiny fraction of what you actually should learn to pass this part of the test successfully. Academic writing task 1 is very specific, you have to understand how to select the most important features, how to structure your essay, vocabulary that you will need to describe changes and trends. I mean, I am not asking for an in-depth course that covers all dos and don'ts, but this course is not even enough to form a solid basis for further self-study. Graphs and charts analysed in the course are very easy, involving a minimum range of vocabulary. I am very sorry for criticism, but it's indeed a very weak course.
